Third Year Blogiversary/Blogoversary (in which I think about cake)

Today is the third year blogiversary/blogoversary of Saints and Spinners! I want to celebrate with a three-tiered cake like this one, but I'll probably have to make do with this. Oh well, at least I haven't given up this. And maybe, even though it's Lent, today might be enough of a feast day for one of these.

Huzzah! Celebrations that happen during Lent mean you get dates and cream cheese with a slivered almond tucked in. Trust me: even without chocolate or white flour/sugar, that is A TREAT.

It's hard to believe that you've been blogging for three years. Our blogiversary is this Sunday. We can't believe we've been doing this for three years, either -- Hope you enjoy three years more and it's still fun.

Cheers!

I lift my daily latte to you!

I made chocolate cupcakes with pink butter cream frosting last night. Who knew there was an event (well, aside from the lunar eclipse)? I'd run a few over, but I think they'd be stale by the time I'd get there. Plus I'm supposed to work and everything.

TadMack: Dates and creamcheese sounds like a yummy treat. What I'll probably make today are little spinach pies. Happy (early) 3 year blogiversary to you!

Adrienne: Oh, I don't know, you could try to run them by, though I doubt you'd get back to work in time. Better you should come out to Seattle for Verite cupcakes.

Megan: Thank you! Is it really blog o versary? I can't keep up.

Nope- just made that up. ;) Just taking Artistic License with it :)

Congratulations, and enjoy your spinach pies! We always make almond cake for Lenten celebrations; hmm, maybe I'll make one tonight in your honor. As for the blogiversary/blogoversary question, I fall on the "i" side. or even on the side of "my blog's anniversary." But maybe I have to have blogged consistently for at least one year (let alone three) before I get to have an opinion on the matter!

Wow! Three years is a long time in blog years. Happy Blogiversary! May you have many more. I wish you the cake of your dreams.

Three years! Your blog makes me smile. Here's to many more!

By the way, I'd take spinach pies over cake any day. Spinach pies with a big Greek salad--cubed feta cheese a must--is my idea of a wonderful meal.

Happy Blogiversary!

Happy Bloggoversary (That's the correct dictionary term dear!) And here's to the next three years of blogging! Do you think we will ever run out of things to say? That scares me a little.

Hurrah!

You can do bloody magical things with sheet icing. It's a shame that buttercream frosting just TASTES so much nicer....

Wow, it sure is nice to come in at the end of the day and read these comments. I've been working in the garden (front and back), and discovered an abundance of crocuses Bede planted two years ago but were difficult to see last spring because of all of the weeds. There are still weeds, of course, but they aren't very tall. If you'd seen last year's back yard, you would have been shocked and dismayed.

I was going to do a find a replace on Ella Jenkins' Aquanetta to make it "Go, Saints and Spinners, Go!"

But I couldn't remember much of the lyrics except....
"Go, Saints and Spinners, Go!"
So I went out on the porch and sang that 5 times at the top of my lungs in your honor.
