Saturday's auction seemed to go pretty well! Here is a photo that the class auction project leader took of the circus on display:
You can find photos of the circus in its earlier stages here.
The bidding was definitely more subdued than in previous years, but I'm hoping that there was good turnout in bidding anyway. The "Fund a Need" item this year was tuition assistance. My nature table dolls were a hit, and one set even went for the guaranteed bid price. Those who didn't win talked to me about future commissions and trades.
I'm going to devote my blog-time this week to catching up on your blogs. I've been so absorbed by auction work that I've been out of touch with people's struggles and joys.
Many blessings,
Farida

I'm so glad it went so well. The dolls are just beautiful. One day I'm commission you myself to make me one of those gorgeous winter dolls.
Oh, and I want to answer your email from this morning but have to go work... but, YES, Ada loves her wood doll, too. THANKS! They're both very special to us all.
The circus is breathtaking! Congratulations on a successful auction. I hope you'll continue making nature table dolls, too--they're so lovely.
How cool that people are talking about commissions! It takes all kinds of things to make both a life and a living. Well done.
Wow, the circus led me to the nature table dolls, which led me to look up Waldorf. Very cool. I try to imagine Sister Patrick Marie teaching Eurythmy, and it makes me smile. You learn something new every day.
Oh my goodness! The circus is unbelievable! The detail! The artistry! It is really beautiful.
Wow. I don't even like the circus, and I totally want to play with that.
