On My Way to Chicago

It's official! I've booked my passage for the First Annual Kidlitosphere Conference.* It'll be held in Chicago, Illinois, USA, on October 6, 2007. Here's the RSVP list.

Just think: if you go too, then I'll get to meet you. You do want to add joy, merriment and glee to my life, don't you?

*For "conference," read "Food, drink and conversation extravaganza."

Be careful not to sit next to Beth Adcock at the conference for as her name implies she is a very loose woman!

YP: You don't get to make fun of my friends' names (even the friends I've not yet made). Go sit in the corner and await your punishment! Wicked, wicked man.

Yay! I am so excited!!! Will you be able to bring your guitar??? You know I am dying for a live performance of "Jenny Jenkins."

Of course I want to ad to your enjoyment. It seems pretty doable at this point. But I'm not coming to Chicago if you're gonna be in a conference all day.

Nonny: No! It's just called a conference to make it sound official and hoity-toity.;) We're going to eat, drink and be merry. Honest.

Adrienne: I could totally bring my guitar. I'll have to check it (aiee), but it's a tough beastie, and will survive. I'm not lugging the flannel board, though I can bring the flannel figures.

See Nonny? "Music, poetry, light and laughter." Get on that RSVP list and come see me, already.

Wish I could, but it's not a good weekend for me!

So happy you're coming, Alkelda! Now we can all see just how gleeful you are in person.

Robin: It's all a ruse. In real life, I'm sulky and I go around kvetching about my problems.

(And then I yell, "Gotcher nose!" and run away.)

Someone will have to write a thorough account of the venture to comfort those who wanted to go but couldn't.
