Couch Band

When I showed Lucia this photo, she said, "Swamp bands play in the swamp!" That's a direct quote from Mama Don't Allow, by Thacher Hurd.

Too cute Alkelda! I would hire you guys in a minute. I seriously want to squeeze Lucia while she's wearing those sunglasses.

My toes are cold. They are ALWAYS cold. I rarely can stand to be barefoot for long. It is FREEZING in this office today--chalk it up to the wintry mix outside. I'm sure the room is full of the warmth of a mother's love, but the truth is, I'm too cold to look at bare feet!

Nonny: Thanks! We'll show up for your birthday bash and play a rousing version of "I'm a Little Teapot."

Hitman J: Wearing socks is a losing battle in this house. Not only does Lucia yank off her own socks, but she takes off mine too, saying, "Socks off."

What are socks? I don't even wear them in the winter...

Alkelda, my dear, thank you. So very much. I'd hug you if I could.

Friday,
I'd hug you, too!

You are now my favorite band. The cutest band!

Lone Star Ma: Y'all come see us at our next show! We're Maisy Drives the Bus, and as Lucia says, "We yike it youd."

Lady K is in need of some grammar lessons. Please, for the love of God, go explain adjectives to her!

Who is that babe in the shades? I think you are right about the pop overs... Yorkshire pilgrims brought them to the Americas when you were just savages running naked in the sixteenth century woods. In Yorkshire we mainly have our puddings with beef or onion gravy. It's very much a savoury dish... but it's bland and only exceptional in its unexceptionalness.

Thanks for stopping by, Lady K! It's been a slow week for me as far as writing goes (unlike the activity on your blog, hem hem). I need to work on some stories this weekend.
