Chew before you swallow

Jules and Adrienne are having a conversation about slightly demented picture-books over at Seven Impossible Things Before Breakfast. Go read! Add your own favorites. Oh, and here is a cautionary tale about one of my favorite SDPB that didn't get scanned before being read to children, called Don't Call Me Little Bunny, by Gregoire Solotareff. I got a kick out it as an adult, but it's definitely never made the cut as a storytime feature.

I'm so boring that I can't really think of any! I do like that The Frog Prince - Continued book and the Cut-Ups book where they go back to school in the fall and you can see their parents dancing in the window, but that's certainly nothing on The Little Bunny.

LSM: Can you believe I've never read the Cut-Ups? I've certainly shelved them. That's hilarious about the parents dancing in the window. I need to find that book. Does the title come to mind?

OMG, now I have to race out and get every book on that list!

Right now the main lesson Mini is learning is that you must make certain you have eliminated ALL of the Superfriends before claiming victory.

Which is the single most important lesson, of course, but I really should broaden her horizons.

One is called The Cut-Ups Cut Loose but I am not sure that's the one I mean.

Thanks for the link. Author Lynne Jonell just added a book I *gotta* go find. Sounds hard-core demented.
