My new storytelling website

Finally, the day has come! My storytelling gig website, Farida Dowler, Storyteller, is live and ready for business. Many thanks to Nancy Shawn, my web-designer. I even have a favicon. I've always wanted a favicon.

I do wonder if the "Book a Party" button is going to be the catalyst for practical jokes. I can just see getting a party request from "Mr P. Yorkshire" to do a birthday gig in Sheffield. (Yes, I'll do it, as long as Mr. Yorkshire pays my airfare.)

Very nice! I especially appreciate the resources section (since I can't afford to fly you to the DC area for Milly's birthday party) and will have to check out Twenty Tellable Tales. And the favicon! Is that the frog? I'm such a Luddite.

Thanks!

Anamaria, the favicon is the little picture that appears next to the url. The internet explorer has a page with an "e" on it, Google, has a G inside a box, etc. My favicon, is an F. We thought about doing a frog, but the picture has to fit within 16 pixels, so it can't be very detailed. Check out the favicon of this website, though: http://www.yourchildlearns.com/us_map.htm. It's a little castle!

Sean: Thanks! It's good to get feedback in regard to what other people see on their computers.

Thank you! Now that I know what favicons are, I'm noticing them everywhere! The little castle is especially nice, but so is the F-it's yours!

Hey! What kind of a low life dirty rat do you think I am? My name is not Brad the Gorilla! I wish you all the very best in your enterprise. In a world of whizz bang entertainment where children are glued to TVs or computer screens it's comforting to know that there are people like you out there continuing a much more fundamental and ancient form of entertainment.

Is it possible to book you for a full body massage with aromatic oils? Then I might fly you to Yorkshire!

YP: (1) Thank you very much! (2) Not a chance, pal.

Anamaria: You kind of want a favicon now, don't you? :)

Jules: Tee hee. You said WOOT.

Whoops, I forgot to respond to you, Eric. You are very welcome.
