Around the World (of Storytelling)

I just completed my Worlds of Storytelling gig today. Here are a few photos. The actual storytelling photos came out a bit blurry, but we've got lots of photos of children dancing to "There Ain't No Bugs On Me" and "Jenny Jenkins." Kibibi Monie, the storyteller before me, had a microphone attached to her shirt. While people have warned me against the potential feedback issues with those kinds of microphones, I think Monie had the right idea. Afterward, Lucia really, really wanted to stay for Marco Cortes, but we had to hurry home to intercept the microwave repair man. One of these days, I'm going to figure out a way to stow my gear safely so that we can actually stay for an entire event. I feel as if often I miss out on what my colleagues are doing.

Very nice sign. All that storytelling, all those little plastic letters. Nice.
