Zeno of Verona

Chris Doyle of Reasonably Clever has a new LEGO Mini-Mizer (updated from the original). I used the original Mini-Mizer to make my Saints as Action Figures collection. I used the new Mini-Mizer to create the action figure for Zeno of Verona, the official patron of both children learning to walk and speak and fishermen. On this blog, he is the unofficial patron of children learning to use the potty:

When you grow up in the country, they make you get certified for first aid every few years starting in the fifth grade because, you know, you're pretty likely to see someone get seriously injured in an area where help is not near. I mention this because one of the things you learn when you get certified for first aid is how to get a fishing hook out of someone's skin. I fished when I was a kid, but I never thought about the hook getting caught in a person until my teacher brought it up in fifth grade. I'm still not over it. Yuck.

So, anyway, that fishing pole makes me nervous.

Adrienne--I didn't learn how to get a fishing hook out of someone's skin when I took first aid. I'd better study up on it Just In Case. You'll be glad to know that Zeno's fishing pole doesn't have a hook on it. He only affixes a hook when he needs to help out his buddy Vincent Ferrer (patron saint of plumbers).

Get that fishing pole away from the toilet Zeno. We've talked about this before.
