I take full responsibility for what might be the start of Lucia's fascination with musicals. At bedtime, Lucia often demands more stories, more songs, more dollies, more of anything to prolong bedtime. One night, I flippantly started singing, "Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you, tomorrow..." from the musical Annie. Lucia asked for the rest of the song. I should have pretended that I could only remember that part of the song. I sang the whole song. Yes, I know the whole song (with a few "dah-dah-dahs" thrown in). Afterward, that was the song Lucia requested each time I put her to bed.
This Saturday, we're attending an abridged production of "Annie." Perhaps Lucia will go through her musical-drama phase early and get it out of her system by the time she's six. She's such a precocious child, don't you know, ever since she read Garth Nix's Very Clever Baby series.

Try to avoid "Cats"
The libretto is just great, though!:)
In case you couldn't tell, I went through a musical-play phase in my senior year of high school My mother said, "You know, I really preferred Mötley Crüe to Les Miserables." She wasn't kidding.
I'll bet she'd get a real kick out of "Stomp!" ha ha
Lady K: And don't forget Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk.
I sang ever so many musicals as a young person. I think I may know all the Annie songs. And don't get me started on Phantom.
