My Grandma

I found out today after my interviews at the American Library Association Midwinter meeting that my Grandma Anne (my father's mother) died last night. I feel really lucky that I had Grandma Anne for all of my childhood and my adult life up until now. Still, I'm a bit sad. Please understand if I'm either uncommunicative or overly-talkative over the next while. I miss her.

Aw, sweetie. I'm soooo sorry to hear about your grandmother. It's good that you have the fond memories, but I totally understand how you feel. It will take time and we'll all be here for you whether you get quiet or talk a lot. Do what YOU need to do to grieve.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandma. It's a blessing that you had her in your life for so long that Lucia will also get to remember her fondly!

I hope you had lots of great talks with her! Grandparents are such an important connection with the past. I still miss mine.

Take care.

Sweet dreams Grandma Anne! Perhaps, just perhaps... as Elton John sang... "Life isn't everything".

It's a strange thing to lose a grandparent. I'm sorry for you, and I hope you adapt to the loss soon.
