Bede's Mother is in the Hospital

Bede's mother is in the hospital right now with a terrible case of shingles (which is no picnic to begin with) and gall-stones. The doctors are doing what they can so they don't have to operate. If they do operate, it's potentially life-threatening, as Bede's mother is old and in ill-health. Things may be quiet here on the blog for the next few days. I'll let you know if/when anything changes.

Blessings to all,
Alkelda

P.S. Here is a photo of a happier time in the hospital, when Lucia was a newborn:

You wrapped her in swaddling bands and laid her in a manger.... Good wishes to grandmama in hospital.

Oh MY! I've had shingles before, and it's so very painful. And gallstones on top of that is just plain wrong. I wish you all the best. I'll be thinking of you!

Hard to believe that tiny little thing is Lucia! Time sure flies, doesn't it?

Thanks so much for all of your good wishes. Bede's mom had a procedure today by which they drained the gall-bladder. Nothing more is known yet.
