Labor Day Acrostic

For Tricia's (The Miss Rumphius Effect) Monday Poetry Stretch, Terrell of Alone on a Limb presents a Labor Day Acrostic and an informal essay on the appreciation of past and present day laborers. (As far as unions go, I have mixed feelings: when they work, they're great, and when the don't work, they're exploitative. Sound familiar?) Go read. Go think.

With this essay and existence in general, I keep coming back to Rilke's Archaic Torso of Apollo: "You must change your life." It sounds more emphatic in German: "Du musst dein Leben ändern."
