Hexadecimal color codes

I recently found a site for Hexadecimal color codes that I actually like in terms of the subtleties in hues. It's helpful for blog tweaking, especially when I'm trying to find just the right shade of white for the background: mint cream, coconut, titanium white, lavender blush, white smoke... oh the possibilies! Currently, the background is "papaya whip."

  1. Wow,
Thank you, this is great! It reminds me though, that all my tweaking is sometimes in vain. I saw one of my sites on a school district computer and was appalled that the subtle teal green that appeared on my computers had transmorgrified into a disgusting green shriek on the school computers.

We are at the mercy of monitor settings.

  2. Camille,
It's not fair! There should be a universal monitor setting by now. I've always wondered, though, if we see colors differently from each other anyway.
